The product description states it kills surface bacteria only, but does not provide the user with additional health benefits or antibacterial properties. Nothing is listed regarding effectiveness against viruses.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.UV-C will deactivate most viruses, but the exposure time to do so varies by the type of virus. Also, the light must be able to completely reach the surface that you want to sanitize (i.e. no dirt, etc.). As for SARS-CoV-2, there’s not a ton of information published on the effectiveness of UV-C. In my opinion, it should deactivate the virus as it does other SARS variants.
