QuestionDoes this have an actual protective border that protects the front of the phone? If not, is there a case available that works with the battery attached that protects the phone?

- Answer No, this external battery does not affect the sides or the front of the phone. It has rounded edges for holding comfort but attaches directly to the back using the MotoMod attachment system. I am not aware of a case that works with the phone with the battery attached but I don't think it's necessary. I have dropped my phone countless times on sidewalks, cobblestones, carpet, asphalt, you name it. No damage to the phone or the battery except for a minor scuff on the edge. Sometimes the MotoMod battery will pop off but it attaches magnetically so just reconnects right back on.

- Answer Yes all Moto mods fit any moto; z, z Droid, z play, z play droid, z force droid, z2 force, z2 play. They all have same connection on back of phone.

- Answer It charges with the phone. The phone will first charge to 80%, then the pack will charge to 80%, then both will charge to 100%.

- Answer The Z Force and Z2 Force use the same MotoMod components so, yes, it will work on both. My daughter got the Z2 with the free projector. I have the original Z Force and the projector works perfectly. She tried my battery pack on her phone and it worked perfectly.

- Answer This is just a snap-on battery for the back of the phone. It charges only when connected to a phone that is plugged in to a charger.

- Answer No. Only the wireless charging style shell and the Wireless Charging Incipio mod have wireless charging. The style shell isn't a battery pack, though.

- Answer Hi Bing, I would feel the same way. New mods gain support through the latest update. You should update your phone to Android Nougat in order to use new mods. -Jess
