“Hi there, Is this modem (MG7540) compatible with Xfinity phone service? Some folks in Q&A sections are saying it is. However when I had Xfinity tech coming into my house to set up the internet, he told me that this isn't compatible with phone service.”

The Motorola MG7540 does not have telephone jacks for voice phone calls. I hope the technician set you up with an Xfinity Router. The 7540 saves you from the $156 yearly Xfinity cable modem rental fee which provides you with Internet and Network service..
