I'm a little hard of hearing anyway, and I hear the Motorola Boom very clearly . it has a volume control on it that is easily adjustable for high or low volume. Also, due to the fit it also reduces most of your background noises including the wind blowing which is very bothersome.

Yes it has higher volume capability as well. But remember, if you go into system on your phone, tablet or pc you can over ride the federal regulations on volume control to not harm you ear and turn volume up. Understand that over long periods of time you may damage your hearing by increasing above the federal limit.
