In answer to your question...I reviewed both the motorola boom 2 and the motorola boom 2+ when I was making my decision as to which one to purchase. The difference between the two is that boom 2+ has 2 hours more talk time and is water resistant (not water proof). Also the boom 2+ costs approximately twice as much as the boom 2. I decided on the boom 2 because I figured if something happened to mine, for the difference in the cost of the two, I could just buy another one just like it. However, I did purchase the warranty as well so that, hopefully I wouldn't have to buy another one if something happens to mine. The boom 2 works just fine.
