This modem worked perfectly (the same priced Netgear had lots of problems) for my 25MBs Comcast service in the 95060 area. I would give it a try if it rated to handle the speeds of the service plan you're purchasing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll save $ on the renal fees. This and a router is all you need.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.there is not a router built into this modem, so you would also need a router. I was able to plug my router into the network output of the modem, and had my home network running without skipping a beat. I bought the modem when I switched to Xfinity. When the installer came to run the cable (didn't have cable previously), he just had to register the hardware address with Comcast. This can be done with a phonecall.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, the Xfinity modem is 2 in 1. Which mean Xfinity modem has MODEM and WIRELESS ROUTER built in one. This Motorola Modem MB7220 is only MODEM by itself. Therefore, you must buy a WIRELESS ROUTER with it. If you don't want to spend a lot money, I refer you buy this "ASUS RT-N12/D1 Wireless-N300 3-in-1 Router". Because it cheap only $28 USD, and it VERY STABLE AND STRONG WIFI SIGNAL than Xfinity Modem. I brought 2 of that ASUS WIRELESS ROUTERS and using it right now.
