• Yes, there are several built in watch faces and some you can changes settings like display the temperature or not, number of steps you've taken or not, etc. You can even download new watch faces on your phone and they will automagically appear on your watch for you to use.

• Yes you can absolutely change the design face of your watch. No clue why someone would say you cant
