Internet Connection is only for Amazon echo service. You do need a landline of some sort. I have it hooked up to OBi200 1Port VoIP Adapter with Google Voice and Fax Support. You can buy this for a round $50. It hooks up to your internet router or switch and gives you free phone service through google voice.
