I did just that! And I love this phone! This feels a lot like the Moto G3, but just a little sharper. The major additions are the finger print reader, and the sleeker user interface - for example, if you get a text message while you have another app open, you can type a response in the window of the notification and send it back without closing or disrupting the app you're in! The voice recognition tool used to turn speech into text, or to say "okay google" and then ask it to check the weather, set a timer, play happy music, etc, also operates much better and there are far less confusions. I would highly recommend the upgrade!! And yes, as far as I know, you can personalize ringtones on every Motorola phone, including this one. :)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is my first Motorola phone, the G5 Plus. I don't recommend it. The phone constantly, for no particular reason, freezes then powers off and back on. It's a known issue that apparently Motorola doesn't want to resolve. I wish I'd done my research before buying. I'd like to personalize ringtones, but haven't figured out whether it can be done. Phone's very limited. One example is you can't get rid of the Google search bar on the home screen unless you use an app such as Nova to personalize screens.
