A:AnswerIt depends on you. Megapixels only affects the resolution of the photos, but not the overall quality of the photo. And having more Megapixels also reduces your low-light capabilities. The wider Aperture size of the Moto G5 Plus also allows you to take better shots than the more narrow size of the camera aperture on the Moto G4 Plus. After all, the Moto G5 Plus is using the same camera sensor found within both the Galaxy S7 & S8 (although it won't take great shots like those two phone due to the mid-range phone processor). The Autofocus on the Moto G5 Plus is practically much faster than the Moto G4 Plus since it uses DualPixel focus instead of the Laser Autofocus on the G4 Plus. Finally, the Moto G5 Plus can both shoot videos on 4K in 30 fps & 1080p in 60 fps (although digital stabilization won't work with these two video settings on).
A:AnswerThis phone is and will be perfectly capable of running Android O, however, it is Lenovo (who own the Motorola Mobile brand) who has to "convert" the version of Android and release it as part of an update. Unfortunately both Motorola and Lenovo don't have very good track record for updating their products, having said that, the phone is unlocked, when the time comes you should be able to install one of the many after market android versions out there.
A:AnswerHi Lmac,
Here's our list for the carrier's compatibility for our phones: https://www.motorola.com/us/carrier-compatibility. You can verify with your carrier if they carry this phone.

A:AnswerThis phone is set up with a Google account and uses wireless, so, yes? This question seems too easy so I'm worried that I may be missing something. Any device that can have google hangouts installed on it, use the internet, and has a camera should be able to do this just fine. I've never heard of an android phone that can't?
A:AnswerI did just that! And I love this phone! This feels a lot like the Moto G3, but just a little sharper. The major additions are the finger print reader, and the sleeker user interface - for example, if you get a text message while you have another app open, you can type a response in the window of the notification and send it back without closing or disrupting the app you're in! The voice recognition tool used to turn speech into text, or to say "okay google" and then ask it to check the weather, set a timer, play happy music, etc, also operates much better and there are far less confusions. I would highly recommend the upgrade!! And yes, as far as I know, you can personalize ringtones on every Motorola phone, including this one. :)
A:AnswerThe Moto G5 Plus sold by BestBuy is designated on the box as XT1687. I am using the phone on Consumer Cellular's service with their SIM card and have had absolutely no problems.
A:AnswerIt worked fine with my existing Verizon plan. Just transferred the sim card out of my old phone and put it into the new unlocked Moto G5 Plus. It worked immediately. When a family member purchased the unlocked Moto G4 several months ago he did the same thing and our Verizon bill simply showed a new phone had replaced the old one on our current plan.
A:AnswerBeing a female my hands aren't large. I can easily type on the keyboard but cannot reach the notification tray with the same thumb I am holding the phone with.
