• Yes, but unlike T-Mobile where you can just use your existing SIM card, Metro PCS will require you to register your new phone and probably have to get a new SIM card.

• Yes it is a removable battery. I don't personally know if it works with MetroPcs. The description of the phone states: Compatible with CDMA and GSM carriers, including Verizon Wireless, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. Also compatible with prepaid SIM Kits, including Verizon Wireless Prepaid, Cricket Wireless, Tracfone, Net10, H2O, GoPhone and Simple Mobile. If that is of any help whatsoever.
