I bought it and it is unlocked. It didnt have any carrier software. I put a T-mobile SIM in and it is working fine. My only complaint is not being able to find cases for it, and the phone is a bit slippery. I have not seen a picture of a case with the wide camera circle, just circle holes like the regular G7, not the G7 Plus.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you buy the unlocked Motorola G7 Plus, it is ready for your GSM SIM. The only required activation will depend on the company's requirements to activate the SIM for a specific phone. For example, Ultramobile in the USA which uses T-Mobile's network only requires the SIM to be activated. You can then use it in any GSM unlocked phone. However if you want Wifi calling to work natively, your phone might need to support it in the menu and need some communication protocol like VOLTE. Some Company's use an application for Wifi calling and some do not support it.
