A:AnswerThis is an unlocked phone, so as far as I can tell you should be able to use this phone on the T-Mobile network. We are on AT&T and this phone accepted the previous phone's sim card and works like a charm. You can always ask the BestBuy sales people - they were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful as we were making our purchase.
A:AnswerYes, you do. Apparently they setup internal "kickback" contracts with the carriers to be able to afford the discount. I suggest Going with Sprint Unlimited Kickstart for only 25$ a month.
A:AnswerHi curious1, The device is unlocked so it should work with US carriers. It would be best to contact the seller to confirm the availability of their phone discount. -Jess

A:AnswerThis is a GMS-capable phone (AT&T is a GSM carrier)... so the way it typically works is that you SHOULD be able to put your Sim card into the G7 and it SHOULD recognize it and work on your plan. This phone uses a "nano sim" sized sim (they come in different sizes) so as long as yours is that size it will go in. Otherwise you'd have to go to AT&T and have them put your plan on a new sim to put in the phone. Once put in, reboot the phone and test everything out. If the text or data or picture messaging features don't work off the bat, you may need to call AT&T to have them change some of the settings in the phone so it will work (call from a different phone - it's easy to change settings this way).
