A:AnswerIt does not come with a phone case for carrying your phone around. They are probably referring to the nice box/packaging it arrives in. They went a bit overboard on the packaging. You could use it as a display stand for your phone. It does come with a nice case for the charger and head phone adapter. But it is not a case for carrying your phone around with you.
For a phone case, I went with the Evutec’s Karbon case. Fits nice and looks good. All the cases I could find did not appear to provide much protection should you drop the phone.
A:AnswerThis is how I purchased mine. I'm a current Verizon customer. Best Buy was able to access my Verizon account with my permission and activate my phone. I was in the store at the time that it was activated. They will also help you with setting up the sim card and data transfer. I think it's best to plan to be in the store for at least 30 minutes for the whole process to be completed depending on how much data you have to transfer from your old phone. Overall, this was a quicker and smoother process than going to Verizon!
