I am pretty sure Cox is one of the related partners. You can go to Cox's website and check. I actually called Comcast . This unit is pretty generic. It is easy to setup. You just call Cox before you open the box. They will ask you for the MAC address for the unit which is on the sticker on the front of the box. Once they have that you can unbox and plug in next to your old one. When Cox is ready you will just unscrew the cable wire from your old one and screw it into your new one. Its just hand tight. No tools. You may have to move over a computer wire (Cat5) if you have any computer plugged into the router. Once all that's done you just reboot and your done. You will have a new name for your Wifi and a new password. You will need to fix that on your phone. Its all very easy, no worries. good Luck.
