• Yes it is compatible with Straight Talk if you purchase the unlocked cell. I confirmed by putting my IEMI number on Straight Talks website. It is compatible with all carriers except Boost.

• I would think so. I have my service through Mint Mobile. Started several years ago with a different phone doing the 3 months plan.
