“I was told I can buy two sets of this phone even for one home land line. Do I need a second jack for the phone line to work or is the bluetooth capability enough to recognize a second handset for same one land line ?.thanks in advance for any help.”

In my opinion 2 phones need 2 jack.

I have one phone jack in the kitchen and the other 2 wireless phones are in the bedroom and office across the house. All you will need with the other wireless phones is a wall outlet to charge the phones. They run off the main phone that is hardwired in from the jack. Hope this helps!
