“Can this cordless phone be used only for a home phone, or does it have to be linked with a cell phone. I only have a few more days before I have to return to Best Buy. Customer service at store were not knowledgeable at all about phone.”

You can use this phone for home use, connected to a phone-line, without having to connect to a cell phone. Connecting to a cell phone, or bluetooth connection, is optional.
