I just purchased this a couple months ago. This 4 cup model does not come with the gold filter. I do know of a 5 cup version that does. But this 4 cup does not. You can buy a gold filter separately. I was disappointed to see the 4 cup doesn’t come with one. But that’s my fault for not reading the contents included on the outside of the box. I assumed it did. Never assume. Lol.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Evidently one was made for this model because the manual states you can place a Mr. Coffee permanent filter into the removable filter basket. The removable filter basket is included. I use the 4-cup paper basket-style filter, also mentioned in the manual, for easier clean up. I have not looked for a permanent filter.
