“Within the brewer itself where the water is boiling, does it have any rubberized parts that might leach into the water?”

The water does not boil it runs through a heating source that is not visible, I doubt there are any rubber components there but cannot guarantee that. There is only one piece of rubber I can see but it is there for the lid not in the water and no where near the heat. This has been a great replacement for our original M. Coffee that decided to leak during brewing.
