I called my store, and they said no. You can contact AMD and they'll send you a loaner chip to update the bios.

If the bios isn’t impeding the performance, then don’t touch it. MSI mobos are great but I have read that there’s been issues with updating their bios. I wouldn’t be against it if you had a 1st gen ryzen because then clearing and updating if it goes wrong is a lot less of a headache.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dude don't pay them that money, updating the bios is easy. Just get a thumb drive and download the bios to the thumbdrive and flash it yourself via the BIOS. BIOS flashing now is very simple and basically idiot proof.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's hard to truly say as we do not know if the inventory Best Buy has is updated yet. Older inventory will need a BIOS update. We recommend building it and seeing if it will POST without the need for a BIOS update. To be safe, Best Buy may also offer a PC building service (I'm an unfamiliar with their available services).
