MSI Dragon Center (built in hardware manager) has a setting to change the maximum battery charging threshold from 100% to 80% to 60%. It will discharge 10% before charging to this threshold to help maintain battery lifecycle (ie 70% or 50%). I leave mine on 60% Max, and plan ahead to switch to 100% when I know I’ll be working on battery only. It’s a very easy thing to switch. No restart needed, no digging in the BIOS.
