- Answer Intel core CPUs come with an enhancement technology called Speed Step. This technology allows the CPU to dynamically go from the base speed (1.6 GHz) to it's maximum speed (4.2GHz). This means at idle, or if you're just typing a paper or reading a blog, it'll run at the base speed. But if you need that speed, the Intel chip will give a boost to 4.2GHz. QuestionI'm looking for a basic & good quality laptop that is similar to what I have (a 7 year old Toshiba). Can I insert a CD in this laptop & is there a place to plug in a wireless mouse? Any suggestions if this is not a good laptop for me? Thanks!

- Answer There is no optical drive on this machine (you cannot insert a CD). There are, however, 3 USB ports; to any which a dongle for a wireless mouse may be plugged in. This laptop also supports use of a wireless Bluetooth mouse as the machine is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 capability.

- Answer I can run Minecraft very well on this computer, but it can definitely only handle light gaming. I tried playing Fortnite, and I could only play at very low quality, and it was still laggy. School work is great, I can run many apps at once, and many tabs at once. You won't have a problem with that.

- Answer You can replace the 8GB of RAM with up to 64GB or RAM or you can purchase a different model if you want 16GB installed. There is a i7 model that comes with 16GB.

- Answer It has an internal Micro SD Card reader. If you need a full size card reader you would need to purchase one and plug it in VIA USB.

- Answer That is a very complicated question. If you have the screen on bright and the keyboard lit up and processor set to max I would guess 3 to 4 hours. Specs say much longer but that is with power saving set to maximum. The charger does slowly charge the battery so if your battery is close to dead and you are using it, charging will take a few hours. It does run fairly quiet and pretty cool as long as the bottom is well ventilated. I am very happy with mine.
