Yes, this board is RYZEN 3/5/7/9 5XXX ready out the box. I personally run a Ryzen 5 5600X on this board. Also there is a rather large "5000 ready" on the box itself

BIOS flash is very easy with MFlash in BIOS mode. Easy to follow Youtube video direct from MSIs website. I did it and I'm a noobie.

It will require a BIOS flash through the specific usb port on the back. The USB does need to be formatted as a FAT32 with the BIOS on it.
