MSI cards have pretty consistently been at the top of the market price since the shortage started. They and everyone else have more or less priced the TI series at the same point as scalper prices for non-TI cards. It seems silly, but between that and their hash rate limiter the TI series has mostly been flowing to gamers instead of miners.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Trumps Tax Tariff was put into effect at the end of 2020. This translates to increased prices in many oversea products. Additionally, these cards are server grade hardware, which comes with increased cost. You don't need a 3080 to run many of today's game. You can get by with a 3060 or something similar which wont break the bank.

Would not recommend wasting over 1000 for a 3080 ti nor a 3090. A regular 3080 and below is more than enough for us fellow citizens.

That's the lowest you'll see outside of being used. That being said, the current prices of GPUs now is a combination of: -Semiconductor shortage post-Covid -Crypto miners buying up the cards causing a supply and demand issue -Scalpers taking advantage of the situation and buying up the cards just to relist them at 2x-3x the price on the second-hand market -Tariffs the previous administration had placed caused the price of imports to go up (though uncertain if this is still in effect)
