• I run a 12700K, it is 12th gen just like yours so yes it is (look for LGA 1700)

• The 690 chipset is designed specifically for the new intel processors, it should accommodate the I9 12900k at full power if you provide a cooler that can handle it with all the cores running and a power supply that can also handle it in addition to whatever video card you want to pair it with.
