• Nope, the remote of the soundbar has more functionalities than your tv remote. It is easy to use.

• If you do not watch local TV or any smart apps from your TV, then you will not need your TV remote (except to adjust tv settings). In other words -If you only use your TV from HDMI devices, and you have 1-3 HDMI devices, then the sound bar can replace your TV remote.
