The Seat is adjustable closer to the computer screen or further back to adjust for the length of your legs. The back of the seat is fixed, but you can use a pillow or foam to get variations. Hope this helps. PIP

No, the seat is adjustable, but only to move it forward and backward. The backrest is not, but slightly ergonomic and pretty comfortable. So far very pleased with the bike.
