• Yes, you can connect to the internet with a Mac on this modem. Just use the Ethernet cable that comes with the modem.

• Yes, the router works like any other WiFi device, you simply connect to it on a Mac, WiFi enabled smartphone or any other computer.

• it is a cable modem, has nothing to do with what type of computer you have, if you connect it straight to your computer with the Ethernet cable you will be just fine, on the other hand it does depend on what cable company you have, they are not all compatible with certain company.
