“extending wifi signal with a wired ethernet connection I have a wired (ethernet) outlet in the room from where I want to extend the wifi signal since I have a very large home and backyard. My set-up includes a Netgear Router 1900 nighthak that is connected to the modem creating the wifi. In the room where I have the wired ethernet port I have my old netgear 600 router acting as a repeater. The signal is OK but not great. I wonder if the signal would be better if I replace the netgear 600 router that is acting as a repeater with a Netgear AC1200 extender connecting it via the same ethernet wired port. Thanks, Claudio”

Yes, this device can be used as a repeater or connect to a lan port for a new WiFi hotspot. If your current wireless is slow then I would wire to this device.
