I had the same problem. My house has so much concrete in the walls that its difficult to get any kind of Wi-Fi signal in other rooms. You notice that the NETGEAR Wi-Fi extender simply extends the signal strength from where ever it's placed. So, if it was placed at the limit of the signal range, you'll just get and extension of that weak signal. A Spectrum Tech Support guy suggested I get a NETGEAR - Powerline 1200 Gigabit Ethernet Adapters (2-Pack). Costs about the same as the extender, but it uses your home electrical wiring system. I got the new NETGEAR setup today, installed it in about 5 minutes, and it works like a charm. Now, in the room I was getting just 9mb download speed, I'm not getting speeds in the upper 40mb. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That doesn't work very well...each time your signal goes through an extender the overall signal is weakened a considerable amount.
