“Can two of the Netgear AC 1200 extenders be used in "series" to extend Wi-Fi signal from router to first extender to second? Have long house with router on one end. Hoping to gain enough signal to interior and porch and patio areas.”

In theory you should be able to do that but you need to be careful - extending the middle coverage zone too large could bring the whole thing down. If you also intend to match SSID naming to have one large zone make sure that your WiFi devices can handle that seamlessly. Some older tablets and phones do not do that too well. Good luck.
