“Can this router be use for spectrum. We bought a time warner netgear and it has to be unplug all the time. I guess we need a new one. But we want to by one and not rent one from spectrum.”

This is an extender, it will only extend your existing connection. If your current router gives you issues, then it may be your router itself (ISP's are known to provide faulty ones). If the issue with your disconnecting stops when you are close to the router, then it may be a signal issue and the extender may help. Use a RELIABLE device to test for this. Smartphones are unreliable. Laptops are more reliable at keeping a connection.

Please try again later.I know nothing about spectrum, I'm using it to extend the wireless signal from my netgear router about 50 feet away . extending from 1 house to a house next door with about a 30% drop in signal strength. It was fairly easy to install if you read the manual closely. Hope this helps you
