“I work in a building where internet is provided, but in my office the signal is very weak and sometimes non-existent. They will not upgrade, so the fix is up to me. Is there anything I need to do to directly tie-in to the mother router?”

Ours connects wireless.. I think you can connect with cable too... we have xfinity internet so we have good internet, we use the extender to get stronger wifi out in our garage... It seems to work fine for us...

It's very easy to set up....pretty much plug and play!!! I found it extremely easy to set up, and believe me, I am NOT a tech expert!!!!

The 6200 Extender would connect to your building's existing router via an ethernet cable. Whether the extender's wifi range is greater than the existing wifi depends upon either your ability to focus the extender's antennas better towards you or the fact that the existing wifi service is only 2.5GHz and the extender has also 5GHz which may reach farther???
