If you signal is that bad, maybe you sound invest in a better router. You can do what you want though, but if you link one to your router and then one the the extender, you will loose internet speed.

They work great and as I said in answering another question, if you have a device that is not WiFi capable but it has an RJ45 input jack, you can simply run a Cat5 or Cat6 cable directly from one of the RJ45 output jacks on the extender to the device and it will work just fine!
