Hi Jim. I lived in TX many years. Thank you for your service. About your TV being WiFi capable. I looked up the specs to your model TV. It looks like your TV is NOT WiFi capable. So, the AC1200 adapter would be a waste of money for your situation. The new term for WiFi ready TV's is 'Smart TV'. So, next time you are TV shopping, look for a 'Smart TV'. A Smart TV already has a built-in internal WiFi card. So, no need to buy a wireless adapter for a Smart TV. Go to this LG website to view LG Smart TV's. http://www.lg.com/us/smart-tvs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should but check at Best Buy to be sure. Any WiFi adapter should work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I have it connected to the Wi-Fi in my home. As a matter of fact I bought it so that I could connect the wi-fi to other times in the home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On this particular TV, wifi-capable is a very limited. While you could add the USB wifi adapter to it, that does NOT make it a smart TV, it simply means the TV can be accessed by other devices on your network (ie you *could* theoretically wirelessly display your laptops screen on to the TV), but most likely you will need some sort software to make it work. You will need something like Roku or Apple TV if you want "smart" features like being able to surf the net, access Netflix, etc.
