“My laptop computer works fine with my netgear router/modem modelc6220 but my 3 other devices was working but quit working a few days ago.They are all within range of the router. Do i need to upgrade to this model router/modem or is this the problem?”

Dear Jabnet; The best approach to this "ongoing issue with Netgear" is to go into the router's settings. Under Attached Devices, select Access Control. Check the box that says, "Turn on Access Control." This will connect all devices and restart the computer. You may have to return here often to uncheck the box and recheck it. Netgear has no solution yet for devices NOT connecting to their router. Keep at it. Regards, Consultant Brian
