This particular device is just a router. You would need a Modem/Router to completely swap what Comcast has given you. Xfinity has a list of approved 3rd party Modem/Routers that works on their network. Once you find which one you like, you will still have to call Xfinity and have them configure your new Modem/Router before you can use it. Don't worry, they do it remotely and over the phone, takes like 15 minutes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this router should work with Comcast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did not have to switch services. In fact the tech is the one that told me to buy my own.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm using it with xfinity and it works great. WAY faster than the Wi-Fi built into the xfinity modem. You just need to set the modem to bridge mode (you can find instructions on the Comcast site) and attach the modem's Ethernet cable to the router's WAN port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to with no problems. We replaced our Charter Cable router w/this (tired of paying the monthly rental) and it's worked great! Actually better than great because most provided routers don't offer the same quality signal strength. They didn't even need us to call them to do this.
