“I have DSL and my last modem from Earthlink with wifi capability quit. I am changing to gmail now and want the same kind of modem for DSL with wifi capability. My internet speeds are very slow with DSL. Is this the right modem to purchase? Thanks!”

I'm not sure but would have concerns that you may not have the necessary internet speed. I would contact Netgear at www.netgear.com/support. They were very helpful to me.
