“I have comcast internet which comes into my apt through the wall via a cable line. How would I be able to hook up this device since I don't see a cable input.”

You have to purchase a cable modem and call your internet service provider to make sure you get a compatible model. They will pro a lot try to get you to route one from them. Once you have a modem then you can connect this router to the modem with an Ethernet cable to provide wifi signal to your devices. Cable from wall to cable modem then Ethernet cable from modem to router.
