“I can only have satellite internet at my home. I have a 5+ year old wirelss router (Cisco) and an about the same age extender (Linksys). Slow lately and no internet available (though connected). Will this help and can replace both router and extender?”

I asked this question and can now answer it myself. I replaced the router and extender and immediately had internet access after installation was complete. Goes almost completely through my whole house, and satellite internet performance much, much better. Very happy I bought this and installed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The A.C. 1750 will definitely give you better range on the 2.4G network and better speed on the 5G. Chances are your older Linksys was not dual band so you would not have had the 5G capability.

I used to have an extender but I unplugged it to install the new router and I don't think I need to connect it again.
