“I am cutting all service with comcast except for internet. Do I still need to rent a router from comcast? Will this router work for internet only from my provider? Thank you for your help”

• I can't stand Comcast, Suddenlink, or any other overpriced cable company, so I bought my router and surfboard! They have almost equalled the rental prices already.

• We did the same - cut all cable service except internet. We use this Netgear router with the modem provided by cable/internet provider. We don’t rent a router from them.
