• No, this will not work. You will need to purchase wireless extenders along with this router to cover a 4000 sq. foot home.

• my house is only 2,000 square feet but I have no problems with reception in other rooms.

• I would not recommend a typical Netgear, Cisco, DLink Asus router. None of them are good at going through multiple walls. I'd recommend a mesh network by Eero or Google or other brands.
