Do I need a separate modem with this? null

Dear BJ; You do need connect it to a cable modem. If you want to have Internet, you need a cable modem. If you don't want Internet, then it could be used to share data, share printers, etc. Since it's a wireless modem, the cable modem is necessary. Hope that helps. Consultant Brian
