"REAL-TIME" as far as the internet (cloud) allows. There is processing time involved... movement triggers the camera, from your camera, to your NetGear Base Station, to your Modem/Router, to NetGear server computers (known by the marketing term "The Cloud") for processing. Then the "real -time" it takes to get back to you, either using a smartphone and the servers email you, then you view on your phone or the time it takes to get back to your computer browser. That is the REAL-TIME/Instant you get. As fast as it takes all of this to happen depends on the internet speed and server processing... seconds to minutes - all "REAL-TIME & VARIABLE" - best that can happen if you want "Instant Satisfaction".
