“If you don't have a smart phone? 2 bdrm apartment and I believe landlord is snooping while I am out. What security camera system could I use which has night vision, motion detection that I could review on my computer? Where in the heck is the recording stored and am I going to have to pay for the cloud as well? How much will this cost me? I will be moving in a few months regardless and would like to have a system for the future. Thanks!”

It has night vision and motion detection, it can be set to this mode (motion) and when detected will record the motion and store it and email it to you to be viewed. No charge, no cloud to pay for.

You can have alerts sent to you when the camera begins to record. The camera can be controlled with a smartphone after installation. Very easy to set up and does not need the cloud.

If you have a problem , go to support and view the setting up motion sensing pictorial tutorial. You can have 5 cameras on you netgear network for free. The picture isnt as sharp as the arlo, but you can see and hear in live mode, and set off an alarm, or speak to whomever is in the house. My main reason for recommending is your concern for the cloud and smart phone. This one actually takes a sd card that you can view on your computer, so you dont have to have a cloud or phone!
