- Answer No, its similar but not the same, the RA supports WIFI mesh but does not support the 3 different SSID networks like the WAX204 does, RA is more to extend your wifi in a home environment, WAX is more the flexibility of having 3 seperate WIFI networks for an office style environment

- Answer You need a modem. I bought the ARRIS SB8200, you connect that to your fibre cable and then connect your RJ to the modem. Then call your provider they will need your SN of the modem.

- Answer I can’t say much about that but I have a average of like 19 devices connected to it at a time and I haven’t noticed any lack of speed on my internet, also you can control what devices get internet or not with the app.

QuestionIs a Hotspot both a modem and a router? I have an AT&T Hotspot which is very slow. I was thinking of replacing it with a Netgear - AX1800 Wi-Fi Router. But now I'm confused as I read about Routers and Modems as to whether the replacement would work.

- Answer A Hotspot is a cellular connection. It is the ISP, Modem, and router all in one. You would need an Internet Service Provider, and they might require a modem or they might use an ONT, that you can pair this router with. If a Company is offering Fiber Optic Service then they give you an ONT and likely a router… That router is interchangeable with this device. If the company offering Cable where the upload and download speed are dramatically different from each other, then yes you would likely have a Cable modem / router combo they provide to you. Ideally Fiber is the best solution available right now.

- Answer I have an 1800 sq. ft. house on just less than a half acre and have full signal anywhere on my property. I would imagine concrete or metal walls would create some damping, but mine are just wood.

- Answer I don’t know what wifi 6 is but I do have Verizon Fios and I replaced it with the router Verizon provided and it’s worked great from me and all my devices.
