It works with Cablevision, I changed Cablevision ARRIS Modem and Motorola Router with this NETGEAR AC 1600. And saved 10$ every month. This one piece replaces both modem and router, that is great and space saver. It just need to register the modem using MAC address of NETGEAR to cablevision website when you plug in and start. It will automatically rout you to website for registering the new modem (your new NETGEAR) If it fails that way you can call to Cablevision customer care and register your new modem by providing them MAC address.
