A:AnswerYes, this is both the modem and router in one unit, and it works with Comcast (the service I have) as well as most other cable internet providers. Please note that there is a different model for DSL users who have AT&T or another DSL service.
A:AnswerWe purchased the NETGEAR C6250 AC1600 when we added Xfinity internet in our Tri-level home a month ago. It's located on the lower level and we have no issues all over our house. We can even be outside and still pick up perfect WIFI with no disconnects/lagging internet. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerYes, once you purchase and unbox just make all the necessary connections then contact your internet provider (in your case Spectrum). They'll ask you for the units Mac # which is both on the unit and box. They will register it on their end test it with you and your done. The whole process should not take more than 5 min.
A:AnswerYes Jessica, you still need a provider but this unit will bring down your equipment rental costs. Check with Geek squad in your local store as to what provider is compatible with particular equipment before purchase.
A:AnswerOne is for the 2.4 Ghz and one is for the 5 Ghz. You can hook up to either of them. I have been told the 2.4 has a longer range but that the 5.0 is faster and more compatible with newer devices. I was advised to hook phones to 2.4 and TVs and computer to 5.0. They both use the same password. I don't see why you would want to fix it to only 1 internet connection.
A:AnswerSorry, I answered the question incorrectly. I mistook it for a different product.
Connect to your modem/router. The default name should be provided in the QuickStart guide. Navigate to 192.168.0.1 and follow the setup wizard.
