“I do not have a PC, can this be set up without connecting to a PC or laptop? I now have an older router that had to be configured with my PC so is now not secure... I only have an I pad and Android phone..”

You do not need to have the router wired to a computer to configure it. I used my Samsung Note 4 to set it up and activate it and then logged into it on my other devices as usual. This is the first router that I have had that can be initialized wirelessly. It surprised me to find that out!

You should be able to use your Ipad to set it up as it is a webpage which once you are on the network you should be able to hit because it is local. You should also be able to call your cable internet service provider and they could probably do it over the phone. I know I could do the with mine (I have Xfinity).
